The Ooni of Ile Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, hosted the king of Juju music, Sunday Adeniyi Adegeye, popularly known as King Sunny Ade as he celebrated his 70th birthday. Born on 22nd September, 1946 to Prince Samuel Adegeye of the Ondo Royalty, KSA, had a musical focus of royal proportions set for him from the beginning.

A Boeing 747 cargo plane by UNICEF arrived Abuja on Sunday with $1.3million worth of lifesaving supplies for internally displaced persons in northeast Nigeria. The plane brought in health kits containing essential medicines and health supplies for primary health centres in the states affected by the crisis. The health kits will serve nearly one million people for a period of three months.
