The Ooni of Ile Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, hosted the king of Juju music, Sunday
Adeniyi Adegeye, popularly known as King Sunny Ade as he celebrated his
70th birthday. Born on 22nd September, 1946 to Prince Samuel Adegeye of
the Ondo Royalty, KSA, had a musical focus of royal proportions set for
him from the beginning.
In honor of these accomplishments, Ooni of Ile-Ife organized a Lecture tagged: Music Industry: The Way Forward, delivered by Prof. Tunji Vidal, Professor of music, Mountain Top University. Dignitaries present at the event were Prof. CBN Ogbogbo, University of Ibadan, Dr. Abel Adeleke, HOD of Music, The polytechnics, Ibadan, Prof Awoyemi, Registrar Obafemi Awolowo University who represented the VC.
The event took place at Oduduwa Hall, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife Osun State.
