Team Nigeria
Paralympians returned to Nigeria on Sunday 18th sept.,2016 to a heroic welcome. Nigeria won a record eight gold, two silver and two bronze medals at
the Rio Paralympics. The country also set six new world records after the games finishing
top in Africa
Nigeria’s record-setting Paralympic athletes have returned to the
country and they were given a hero’s welcome by the sports ministry.
According to The Vanguard, the the team returned on Sunday via the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja and were greeted by officials from the Ministry of Sports.
