Apple Is about To Unveil A Big Music Play
Apple CEO Tim Cook
Apple is about to unveil its big new
streaming service to the world. The company is expected to launch Apple Music
onstage at its WWDC event on Monday, and it's aiming to capture a huge market
in which it has previously barely made a dent.
The Wall Street Journal has published an article looking at
Apple's coming streaming service and the industry it plans to join.
Here's a key statistic from that
Journal story: Apple sells up to 85% of music downloads worldwide. That's a
huge number, and it shows that iTunes dominates paid music downloads.
But a problem looms for Apple: Music
downloads are dying. The industry is moving away from paying for music files
and keeping them on your computer or mobile device — instead streaming is
becoming the most popular way for people to consume music.

BBOG Group Kicks Against Amnesty For Boko Haram Members
The leader of the Bring Back Our Girls group,
Dr Oby Ezekwesili have condemned greatly the request made by Borno State
governor Kashimu saying that Boko Haram sect members should be granted amnesty.
Ezekwesili said that on no condition should the members of this deadly group be
considered for amnesty as their crimes are so heinous to be forgotten.
A member of the group, Dr Manasah
Allen also said that the governor should be more concerned about ways of tackling
the sect and bringing their evil ways to an end instead of begging for mnesty for them.
“The issue of amnesty for Boko Haram is not right. They killed so many people. They have destroyed so many lives. Everybody is affected in the havoc by the insurgency and here we have somebody talking about amnesty. We are determined to put pressure on government to bring back the girls and other people who have been kidnapped by the sect. We want the military to take out Boko Haram, not repel, or always dislodging the sect members. The military needs to take the battle to the Boko Haram, not wait and defend…some people need to answer questions about the abduction. In the enquiry, people must come and testify or they would have committed contempt of court. When that happens, the truth will come out,” he said.
